Dare to Ask® is a practical, enquiry-led pedagogical approach designed for primary schools nationally, placing powerful questions, thoughtful dialogue and deeper thinking at the heart of Religious Education. Rather than replacing existing curricula or schemes of work, it works alongside any RE syllabus, helping schools enrich their teaching while building secure knowledge. Inspired by Philosophy for Children and contemporary approaches to disciplinary knowledge, Dare to Ask® encourages pupils to explore religious and non-religious worldviews, consider different perspectives, reflect on evidence, challenge assumptions and develop their own informed viewpoints. Supported by high-quality classroom resources, including progressive Big Questions frameworks, enquiry prompts, dilemma cards and pupil journals, alongside professional development for teachers, it aims to develop confident, reflective learners who can engage respectfully with challenging questions and uncertainty. Suitable for individual schools and Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), Dare to Ask® initially focuses on RE, with the ambition of extending its approach across the wider curriculum.
